Graduate Certificate of Infrastructure ManagementInfrastructure is one of Australia’s largest asset classes and is a major contributor to the nation’s output, growth, productivity and microeconomic performance. The project produced for the DCA must be of similar intellectual scope and level to a PhD and incorporates a creative work equivalent to a 50,000 to 70,000 word written work accompanied by a 30,000 word dissertation. Attendance at a seminar on methodology would be required.

Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours)The Honours program is a supervised, one-year program of independent research and study culminating in the production of a research thesis and presentation of a research seminar. The program usually commences in January each year. Students must have a “good” (ie: Credit/Distinction average) undergraduate degree to be able to undertake the Honours program. Students undertake a program of course-work (10CP) and research (70CP) in which they conceptualise, plan, organise, undertake and report on an independent research project, whilst being supervised by a member of the academic staff. All projects are “student-driven” and require a substantial time commitment. Performance in the Honours program is graded from Honours Class I (top), through Honours Class II, Division A, and Honours Class II, Division B, to Honours Class III. The Honours program provides a pathway to post-graduate study, typically at the PhD level. Note that successful application for a scholarship to undertake PhD studies usually requires at least an Honours result of Class I.
